Thank you for the input....must be injector problem then.
But why it gets that dirty could mean poor fuel quality and/or fuel filtration.

I don't know if it will help any, but I have serviced about 50 of the GA16DE side feed injectors. They are VERY dirty when they are removed.

What do you believe is happening with them?

Moreover,  if we are proven right, this opens a new window of opportunity with Nissan who says they never had any Injector related problems.

Vehicle:   Nissan Sedan
Year model: 1998,
Engine:  GA16
Problem:  When the car aircon goes on Auto OFF,  RPM drops to 400 and the engine revs up/down for a while, then the engine conks off.

Nissan dealer advises to replace the engine harness (that harness connecting the injectors to the servo) at a horrendous price of $1440.00!

I believe this is injector problem and can be handled the ASNU way, but if proven wrong, we will have a problem.

I would appreciate receiving any suggestions?

Hi Bill,

Thanks for your suggestion. I don't think we have Castrol super clean as such in the UK, although I'm sure I can get it under a different name or something similar. I'll give Castrol UK a call during the week

Cheers

Paul

Hi Paul, I spray the bodys with Castrol super clean and let them soak. I have a stand alone ultrasonic cleaning tank that I clean the bodys in. Be sure to leave the filters in and or cap the inlet to prevent anyting from getting in the injector. Bill

Hi All,

Can anyone shed some light on the part numbering system for Sagem injectors for me?

I only ask as I've started to service some injectors for a TVR specialist and I've noticed that there appears to be 3 different sets of numbers on the injectors, however on some of them the numbers have been ground off for some strange reason   Huh

Now i've had a look online but there doesn't appear to be any info out there relating to Sagem injectors

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Paul

Hi Everyone,

This is my first post on here so please go easy on me  Smiley

Anyway, I'm curious to know what most of you guys do for cleaning the outside of the injectors.

I like the idea of leaving them to soak in some kind of cleaner over night before cleaning them in the ultrasonic bath. I mainly service Bosch injectors for Audi and VW cars, and recently I've started to service TVR Sagem injectors too.

I usually give them a coat of high temp paint at the end of the service, but I'm curious to know what you guys use/do to get rid of the crap that you find on the injector bodies before servicing/painting them

Cheers

Paul
