Hi Everyone,

This is my first post on here so please go easy on me  Smiley

Anyway, I'm curious to know what most of you guys do for cleaning the outside of the injectors.

I like the idea of leaving them to soak in some kind of cleaner over night before cleaning them in the ultrasonic bath. I mainly service Bosch injectors for Audi and VW cars, and recently I've started to service TVR Sagem injectors too.

I usually give them a coat of high temp paint at the end of the service, but I'm curious to know what you guys use/do to get rid of the crap that you find on the injector bodies before servicing/painting them

Cheers

Hi Paul, I spray the bodys with Castrol super clean and let them soak. I have a stand alone ultrasonic cleaning tank that I clean the bodys in. Be sure to leave the filters in and or cap the inlet to prevent anyting from getting in the injector. Bill

Hi Bill,

Thanks for your suggestion. I don't think we have Castrol super clean as such in the UK, although I'm sure I can get it under a different name or something similar. I'll give Castrol UK a call during the week

Cheers
