Vehicle:   Nissan Sedan
Year model: 1998,
Engine:  GA16
Problem:  When the car aircon goes on Auto OFF,  RPM drops to 400 and the engine revs up/down for a while, then the engine conks off.

Nissan dealer advises to replace the engine harness (that harness connecting the injectors to the servo) at a horrendous price of $1440.00!

I believe this is injector problem and can be handled the ASNU way, but if proven wrong, we will have a problem.

I would appreciate receiving any suggestions?

I don't know if it will help any, but I have serviced about 50 of the GA16DE side feed injectors. They are VERY dirty when they are removed.

What do you believe is happening with them?

Thank you for the input....must be injector problem then.
But why it gets that dirty could mean poor fuel quality and/or fuel filtration.
